Please excuse this randomness from my writer side, I'm just stuck with a mean case of writer's block and I really want to get over it. I miss writing for fun. This is a mini-commentary I sat down and wrote in hopes of getting back into gear.

Don't you just hate it when you sit down to think and write and nothing comes out? You have all these ideas floating around in your head, but the words just can't get from your brain to your fingers. All stories come to a halt with the giant blank space that sits in the forefront of your mind once you actually decide that you want to write. Never mind when you don't feel like writing. Actually, do mind it, because that's when your creativity is going to sneak up on you. I'm not suggesting you drop everything you're doing that second to write, but at least write a note down, or something. Often times I'll be doing something routine, such as vacuuming the house, and listening to music, and certain lyrics will just jump out at me from nowhere and this giant plot bunny just decides to sit on me and not leave me alone. And it's not a cute, fluffy, nice plot bunny. It's a large and heavy stubborn one that won't move unless you give it what it wants. Haha, whoever thought of comparing story ideas to rabbits, anyway?

But seriously, it seems that whenever I want to write, I can't lately. One reason that most of my conversations tend to be incredibly far-fetched sometimes and random is because that is the result of all my creativity bottling up until I can't take it anymore, and it finds an outlet whether I want it to or not.

The conclusion I came to was that I need to write something short and sweet about something, about anything at all. The problem? I can't think of anything. Sad, I know. I think I just need a random idea thrown out there that I can go off. For example, once when I was chatting with Erin, she asked me to tell her a story. I asked her what it should be about, and she said, of all things, a nail file. And that is how Melvin the nail file was born. *laughs* Any ideas? It can be as random as a penguin getting stranded in the desert with a pair of stilts and a paintball gun if you want. Hmm...

So...I'm back in Modesto, but the funny thing is I haven't been at home much all week. Monday was dentist appointments in Sacramento, Tuesday was a day trip with my Flying Mango crewmates to Santa Cruz (which was SO much fun, I ended up with a free Smart Car shirt, a Harry Potter action figure, and the Becoming Jane soundtrack...hm-hm-hm-huh?), Wednesday was a trip to the DMV with my brother/ picking up my Aussie friend Janet from the train station, Thursday was doctor's appointments/ showing my friend around town (of course involving introducing her to In N' Out), Friday was moving my brother into UC Merced (which has a sweet campus by the way, it makes my school look bad) and then hanging out with my friend more as well as seeing The Nanny Diaries which was pretty funny, followed by shopping at Wal-Mart of all places, then Saturday was going to Granite Bay to hang out with my dad's side of the family. Today was the first day I was really home a lot. Ew, that was a gross run-on sentence just then. Oh well. Next week should be a little less busy, there are a couple things I have to take care of and a couple people I'm supposed to hang out with. If you want to hang out, just drop me a line.

I do have a question, though. Imagine that there really was a monster that lived in the lake at Calvin Crest. What would he do, do you think? I don't think he would be an evil monster, just a misunderstood one. And his name would be Frama (a frog-llama). Just trying to gather ideas for the story I'm writing for Amy, I think it's a great and fun idea. How amusing would that be if a little kid's book was in the store by me, about the monster that lived in the lake? Maybe a cute little life lesson thrown in there so there would be a point to the book. You have no idea how much fun I would have if I were a children's author. Really, the teacher thing is because writers get sucky pay if they don't make it big, haha.

Hi, remember me?  The one who sucks at updating her blog?  Well, I'm back to tell you I'm leaving.  Isn't that considerate of me, haha.  I'm going to be working at Calvin Crest again this summer, I'm the Crestview store clerk, huzzah!  It's going to be fun times on the office team this summer.  It's going to be really really weird not being in the kitchen, I'm going to have to keep from walking in the kitchen door and trying to go to work in there, heh.  I think I'll still help with dishes from time to time, because you can take the staffer out of the kitch, but you can't take the kitch out of the staffer.  Wow that was cliche, oh well, that's just me.  I'm so excited to be working there again!  I really missed it last summer, though I think the experience with counselling was good for me.  Anyway, I'll be gone from Saturday (June 9th) to Sunday, August 19th.  I may come on and post randomly in between, but no guarantees.  To be continued when I get back!

For now, I must finish packing!  *scampers off singing* Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to camp I go...

Yay for not blogging consistently!  I win, haha.  I've decided that I really love the Colbert Report.  It's just that amusing.  And you learn things from it too!  Tonight, for instance, I learned that zebras were never domesticated by African cultures for a very good reason.  They're mean suckers.  If you get too close to them, they'll bite you.  And if that's not bad enough, they'll bite you and not let go until you're dead.  Yikes...zebras, who knew?  Apparently they're the worst animals in zoos.

So, sushi...it ended up being that the original sushi place was closed for the day for renovations.  So then we went to Modesto and looked for a place that we thought was one place and it turned out to be on the other side of town.  After many times of turning around and going out of the way, we found the sushi place...but it didn't open until 5, and it was 4.  We decided to hang out at Yesterday's Books for an hour and kill time, then went for sushi.  The amusing thing is that I discovered that I really like eel (in the tiger rolls).  I happen to be freaked out by live eels due to one swimming fast out of a hole in an aquarium tank and scaring me when I was little, so me liking to eat them is kind of funny.  Oh, the irony.  Maybe it's a revenge thing, haha.

The wedding yesterday was beautiful, it was a different kind of feeling watching two of my friends get married (also unbelievably cute, they make a great couple) and thinking "uh oh...that means I'm at an age where I could get married...ahh!" *hides* lol.  It was really good though, it was outside, a little windy, but good, and I got to see some Calvin Crest people that I've worked with and will work with this summer.  Oh, this summer!  I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it! *laughs* I think I'll end this now and get back to studying before I say anything else that's completely nerdy.

P.S. The PotC 3 soundtrack comes out tomorrow!!!  And we're going to see the movie at 8pm on Thursday!  And dress up!
